Recycling

Swedens leading port specialising in recycling cargo

More efficient recycling of recyclable materials is an essential part of the world's transition to a sustainable society – and we are proud to be Sweden's leading port in this area

The proximity to the Nordics' largest recycling center, Stena Nordic Recycling, and Europe's leading economies makes us a natural cargo hub for the recycling industry. Our extensive experience in bulk cargo and significant investments, from deeper quays to a specialized crane, allow us to load more and faster than many other ports.

With Oceanhamnen we meet the needs of the future

If Europe is to succeed in its sustainability goals, the recycling industry must grow enormously - and this is something Hallands Hamnar wants to be part of and ensure. When Oceanhamnen comes into use, we will have an additional berth with 21,000 m² of weather-proofed space for cargo handling and a depth of 12 metres. This means a 40 percent improvement in recycling capacity, allowing us to receive larger vessels and load up to 30,000 tonnes.
