Terminal information in Halmstad

Our port in Halmstad has four terminals where three million tons of cargo, 110,000 cars, and two ferry calls are handled daily, among other things. Each terminal is designed to allow us to load and unload cargo in the shortest time possible – and quickly transport it onward or safely store it in our modern warehouses.

Kattegat: our container port

Our Kattegat terminal is where we offer container services. With over 100,000 square metres of space, there is plenty of room, and every year we handle around 22,000 containers. The terminal has 600 metres of rail divided into two tracks, making loading and unloading efficient. In addition, with a set of modern cranes, we can lift around 20 containers per hour.

Stena Line: our ferry terminal

This 123 000 m² terminal is equipped with 4 ramps and ready for all kinds of RoRo operations. Today, the terminal handles the Halmstad - Grenå ferry line, operated by Stena Line. In addition, around 110,000 cars are imported annually, many of which are safely stored on our 450,000 m² weather-protected and elevated parking area.

Oceanhamnen: new terminal for our bulk business

With 200 metres of quay, 12 metres of depth and 21,000 m² of cargo handling space, our new terminal, the Ocean Port, is ready to receive larger vessels, especially in the export of shredded scrap for recycling and the import of steel and metal products. The entire area has been raised by three metres to withstand rising water levels, and is equipped with its own high-voltage grid to meet growing capacity needs.

Södra terminal: a terminal dedicated to pulp

The Södra terminal has a 15,000 m² weatherproof indoor warehouse, with approximately 400 metres of rail divided into two tracks that together accommodate 9 train wagons. Today, the terminal is reserved for our collaboration with Södra and we handle a number of tonnes of paper pulp here annually.
