Land transport to and from our port in Halmstad

With an excellent geographical location and a rapidly growing business, our port in Halmstad has all the potential to become one of southern Sweden's central cargo hubs for sustainable intermodal transport. We are actually already well on our way. The port handles three million tons of cargo annually, and with direct connections to Europe’s road and rail networks, it is easy to travel to and from all of Europe.

Sustainable intermodal transport

Our port is fully prepared to receive the climate-smart rail transport of the future. In total, we have two tracks in the terminal that are connected to the region's railway network and Halmstad's full-length railway yard. From here, you can transport your goods by rail to inland terminals throughout the Nordic region and down to Europe.

Reach the entire Nordic region and Europe by truck

From our optimum geographical location on the west coast of Sweden, it is easy to connect to major European and national roads. Along the coast, the E6 motorway runs north towards Oslo and south through much of Europe, while to the east, national road 15 runs towards Karlshamn and national road 25 towards Växjö. In addition, there is a quick connection to national road 26 - also known as the inland road - which stretches all the way to Karesuando in northern Finland. In short: From our port in Halmstad, it's easy to get anywhere you want to go in Sweden and Northern Europe by lorry.

Oceanhamnen: new terminal for our bulk business

With 200 metres of quay, 12 metres of depth and 21,000 m² of cargo handling space, our new terminal, the Ocean Port, is ready to receive larger vessels, especially in the export of shredded scrap for recycling and the import of steel and metal products. The entire area has been raised by three metres to withstand rising water levels, and is equipped with its own high-voltage grid to meet growing capacity needs.
